Mommy’s Birthday!

Today’s the day! It’s my beautiful wife’s birthday! Well, unlike the previous years, I’m a bit unprepared, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have anything for her.
First of all, my funds are running low, so I couldn’t buy her any expensive gift. Besides, she always tells me that I shouldn’t buy her anything expensive. She’d rather receive something useful, functional, and practical.

Ganon pa man, ang nabili ko lang is a cake that she really wants and a greeting card. But you know, I’m proud to say that the message of the card I gave her imparts my exact feelings towards her. Actually, she cried when she read it.

Here is a picture of Cel with her cake. More pictures in the album.

Though simple, we celebrated her birthday as a family. It all started with cooking the spaghetti and throwing jokes at each other. To tell you the truth, the spaghetti sauce was superb! While I was able to cook the pasta to perfection (like it’s so hard to do! Ha-ha-ha).

My parents and my sister arrived in the afternoon to join us celebrate Cel’s birthday. Everybody had fun watching Carlos play around. Like all toddlers, he’s playfulness is insatiable. He loves to play, walk around, dance, and point at things.

My wife was really happy today. I asked her if she was happy and she said “of course!” She really didn’t want to go out. She just wanted to stay at home and be with the two of us, Carlos and I. I thought it was more meaningful than how I spent my birthday.

Now going back to my “fitness journal”.

Checked my weight today and it’s 152.4 lbs. Here are the exercises I did.

Exercise Sets Reps Weight
Dumbbell Flyes 3 12 15 lbs
One Arm Tricep Extension 2 15 5 lbs
Dumbbell Lateral Raise 3 15 5 lbs
Knee Ups 3 10 -
Leg Lifts 3 10 -
Dumbbell Side Bends 3 15 15 lbs
Decline Crunches 2 25 -

I hope I do better tomorrow.
