Badminton day!

Good morning! I’m waiting for our water tank to be filled up and as I’m waiting, I thought, why not write a short one.

Checked my weight today. Darn, I gained. 149.2 pounds. Well, I guess that happens when you eat a “little too much”. Yesterday, apart from my daily requirements I ate jollibee’s hotdog and ginormous (that’s gigantic+enormous) fries for merienda. I really didn’t need to eat. I just felt like eating.

The most difficult part of bulking (for mass) and cutting (for fat) is the diet. Of course, I’m not doing that at the same time. It’s supposed to work in stages but I’d like to believe that I can do that in “mini-stages”.

I have to eat as often as possible while making sure I maintain a calorie deficit. What made it worst yesterday was that I wasn’t able to drop by the gym (as we went home later than usual).

But today is BADMINTON DAY! Yey! I hope JC and I could beat all our opponents today. Either way, the cardio activity is enough consolation!

Time to take a bath. Now I’m torn between doing a “light” set first then hit the showers or to drop it altogether.

Will let you know when I blog again later in the office or after I get back home. In the meantime, let’s hope we enjoy our day!

Guilty!

Sige na nga. I am guilty. Yes, I admit, I haven’t been posting lately. Wow! I think my last post was dated July 26 (or 27). I’m not even sure.

I have been busy. Work? Sure. But aside from that, I’ve been busy updating my other sites. Darn. I used to say that I’ll never neglect my multiply, but now, I realized, it’s least updated social site I update. My bad.

So, what have I been doing? Again, it’s mostly updating my other sites (in order of frequency): Plurk, Facebook, Bodybuilding.com, and lastly, Multiply. I update my status a number of times a day. I post pictures (progress pictures) on my BodySpace. I respond to my friends’ taunts and comments. Check out other fitness enthusiasts. Add more friends in my network (classmates from high school and/or college, and colleagues). Then I realized. I only upload pictures to my Media locker (via AutoUploader pa!), and I haven’t even shared them yet!!!

Ok back to my old daily habit.

So, I checked my weight today. Yeah. It’s 148.6 pounds. I gained compared to 147.2 pounds yesterday. That’s ok. I noticed that I average on 148~149 pounds. Good enough.

As usual, I did my routine. Again, I changed it a bit.

I’m still deciding if I’m going to go over at Gold’s for cardio. Yesterday and the other day, I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I plan to do that every day now. I’m hoping that’ll speed up my metabolism a little more. I really want to be leaner. As you probably have noticed, I’ve lost some weight already and fortunately my body is starting to show some definition. SOME.

Came in late for work today. Darn. 5 minutes. I should’ve parked at McDonald’s El Pueblo first, went up to log, go back down and park my car in Megamall. Fine, I’ll do that next time.

Work has been… interesting. Interestingly annoying. Ha-ha-ha. Let’s just say there are things I cannot control. But I know that I can control some things and I’ll start with that.

I’ll wrap this up. I’ll start blogging again soon. I’ll still blog the previous days (probably block ‘backwards’). Alam ninyo na, OC e. Ha-ha-ha.

Late blogging..

I know. I haven’t been blogging religiously. I’m sorry (as if I have many readers of my blog! Ha-ha). But anyways, that’s not the point. I have been busy lately. So I guess, the most that I could blog about are the exercises that I did.

This morning I checked my weight. It says: 149.6 lbs. In other words, wagi. LOL!

Remember that I said yesterday was grocery day? Well, it is also family day. Before I completely forget about this, I want to share with you Carlos’ furry ride. My wife took the video, you can hear her calling Carlos, urging him to look a the camera.
At some point in the clip, you can see that I let him steer the wheel. Of course, he’s oblivious of the danger that it entails, that’s why I made sure I kept a close watch over the enivornment. Besides, I control the paddle.
Going back to today, Sunday. Again, I won the battle. I lost weight again. It’s the closests that I am with my goal. I am 148.6 lbs. I’m just off by 0.6 lbs from my target weight! And that’s approximately 272 grams! Wow, come to think of it, 1 pound difference is like 454 grams.
Interesting, isn’t it?
Since I was such a slob yesterday (exaggerated), I decided to really work it out today. The following were my exercises.

Sloooow Saturday

It happened again. Lethargy. But that’s ok. I’ve worked my ass off this week and I guess a day of doing nothing shouldn’t hurt.
I won the “battle” today! I weigh 149.4 lbs! That should justify doing nothing today! I’ll think of it as a reward. I’ll just psyche myself to do more, to pump more, tomorrow.
Today, it’s family time. It’s bonding time. Time to do the groceries!

The Real Thursday

I guess I was groggy last night. I didn’t realize that I said “Thursday” yesterday. Today is a Thursday, July 23. Nothing much, only my workout has changed.

Yey! I lost weight. It’ll really be like this for the next couple of days, I guess. It’s hard to “maintain” a steady weight. Depends how much water you can hold, really.

Today, I’m 149.0 lbs! I wonder what it’ll be tomorrow.

Regrets

If there is one thing that I don’t like about myself, that would be my forgetfulness. When I blog about the events that transpired throughout the day, sometimes, I find myself either confused or worse lost.
It’s a good thing that when I checked my weight this morning, I was able to write it down. I also updated my body stat on my other site. Everyone, I’m glad to share that I’m 150.2 lbs!
Konti na lang talaga. But it’s not unusual to experience sudden bursts of weight gains. Again, I should say, it’ll depend on what I eat throughout the day. Calories count. Every single bite does. But how does a small bite affect a person’s weight? Well, if you think about it, you don’t eat ONCE a day, don’t you? We need to eat all the time in order to last/survive the rest of the day.
So guys, when I try to lose weight, it doesn’t mean I don’t eat. Believe me, I do. In fact, I try to eat six times a day. Nga lang, it’s so difficult to chose the food that we eat. All the junk that’s being sold in convenience stores, fast food chains, restaurants makes it almost impossible to search for the “perfect food”. Besides, they all sell junk. Who wouldn’t? Food is quick, easy, affordable, and most importantly, mouth-watering to the consumers. Who wouldn’t want to dig for a stick or two in a bag of french fries? Wouldn’t you?
I don’t want to lose hope tho. I’ve really put an effort on losing weight which should improve my health. Pero I’m sure, someone would say, “e si Deither Ocampo nga, ganda ng katawan, nag-collapse”. Yes, that’s true. Health is not based on aesthetics alone. Good health is the over-all balance of the good and the bad. Kaya nga meron tayong liver, kidneys, sweat glands, nose hairs, tonsils, white blood cells, anti-bodies, and many many more “guards” e. It’s their job to eliminate the bad things that go into our system. It’s part of nature: the good and the bad. Our bodies has a built-in defense system. But in order for it to function properly, we should be careful in choosing the stuff we put in our bodies.
Easier said than done. I know.
It took a while for me to realize that AGAIN. Sabi ko nga, I’ve wasted years of my life smoking. Something that I’ve regretted. But, I’ve forgiven myself, and as a reward, the experience taught me something about myself. That I have control. That I can control my actions. That I have control over my life. I quit smoking without any help from anyone or anything. I just quit. Point blank. Like that.
Better get going now. It’s a Wednesday but I don’t think the Sith Lord would stay at home. I can feel the dark side’s presence moving towards the office. Unfortunately, THAT I don’t have control. Ha-ha-ha.

Fired Up

It’s a Tuesday. Second day of the working week pa lang. I decided not to do any of my routine today because I did so much yesterday. I guess, it’s ok to have a “rest” period.
I checked on my weight and it says 150.6 lbs today. Sige, konti na lang.
Nothing much today really. I just uploaded a progress pic on my other site. Kinakarir ko na talaga. Here’s a sample.
I want to believe that my wife is proud of me. I think she is. I seems she likes what she sees and somehow I could see that in her eyes.
I’m all fired up to do better tomorrow. Sana tuloy-tuloy na to.
